The Capstone School, originally named Children’s World, is an independent Christian School, situated in the beautiful suburb of Walmer. Since its founding in 1997, the school has steadily built a strong reputation for the excellence of its programs and the character of its school community. Over the years a number of past pupils went on to be elected to top leadership positions and achieve top academic honours in the region. 

In response to ongoing requests from parents and the community, the governing body elected to position the school, re-named The Capstone School, as a provider of both pre-primary and primary education. The first cohort of primary pupils was enrolled in 2016. 



The Capstone School’s beautiful campus is enhanced by the abundance of trees, open spaces, where guinea fowls play on the lawns and monkeys frolic in the trees. The beauty and tranquillity create a different, peaceful teaching-learning environment where pupils can grow their own gardens and learn through the natural environment. The Capstone School is housed in two stately properties, sheltered between giant Fig trees and beautiful gardens in the upper avenues of Walmer, in Port Elizabeth.
